I have worn a lot of different hats in pharmaceuticals, I have had functional experience in General Management, Executive Committee, Marketing, Sales, Key Account Management, Market Access, Pricing and BD&L with an intensive career development that has strengthened multitasking, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.

As a senior Pharmaceutical Executive I have demonstrated ability to deliver mission-critical results in the Specialty Care, Primary Care and Generics business. Leading business turnaround, achieving middle/high double-digit growth through superior team performance. I have had direct responsibility up to 200 associates, including 25 managers and $300 MM in revenue.

While managing people is my passion, strategic vision is my bread and butter. Keeping on top of strategic projects and making sure all parts get to the finish line at the same time is one thing I do best. The ability to build a passionate team aligned and committed to the same goal it’s something I developed through my professional experience.

Alan Crowther

Alliance Life Sciences

Alan Crowther is President of Global Markets of Alliance Life Sciences, responsible for overseeing the Global Pricing solutions for Alliance. He brings 20 years of leadership, consulting and technology experience with him to the position. Alan has previously held roles as CEO at Alliance; founder of Adjility Health, a firm focused on life sciences analytical software; Vice President at Capgemini; Co-founder and Officer at Adjoined Consulting, where he ran the Life Sciences practice and was part of the leadership of the venture-backed company and helped drive it to a successful $200MM+ exit. Prior to Adjoined, Mr. Crowther was head of services for a small software company that exited to BEA Systems; and was a manager at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) before that. He is a graduate of Princeton University.

 

Sanjay Shah

Executive Vice President

Health Strategies Group – Global Access Insights

Sanjay has more than 20 years of experience bridging R&D and commercial functions to build market-driven, global value propositions for products at every stage of the lifecycle and across disease states and therapeutic areas. He specializes in U.S. and global pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement, and market access. He has worked with global, regional, and local country-specific teams to develop and implement worldwide pricing policies, lifecycle price management, and market access strategies and capabilities.

Sanjay served as worldwide global head of pricing and market access for Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Group of Companies and as vice president of market access (U.S.) for Sanofi. During his career, he has negotiated with payers in the United States, Europe, and developed and emerging countries. Sanjay is a certified Six Sigma black belt in pharmaceutical pricing and contracting.

Sanjay received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in chemical engineering from Rutgers University.

Kevin Barnett

Managing Partner

Promidian Consulting

Kevin Barnett leads Promidian, the management consulting division of The Access Group. Kevin has served as a strategic advisor to leading life sciences companies for 15 years. His consulting expertise spans a broad array of areas, including corporate strategy, product strategy, managed markets and pricing strategy, and operational effectiveness.

Prior to joining Promidian, Kevin held senior leadership roles with Leerink Swann and Campbell Alliance. At Campbell Alliance, Kevin served as Global Practice Area Leader for Campbell’s Pricing and Market Access Practice. He also held management consulting positions at Deloitte Consulting and Mattson Jack Group. Prior to his career in consulting, Kevin worked in various commercial roles with The Upjohn Company.

Kevin has authored a number of articles—and presented at a myriad of industry conferences—on key strategic issues facing the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He also has been quoted and referenced in leading business publications and industry trade journals, including BusinessWeek, The Pink Sheet, The RPM Report, Pharmaceutical Executive, MedAdNews, PharmaVOICE, and Managed Healthcare Executive.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in bioengineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Bloomington.

Bertrand Tardivel

Former Head of Global Pricing

Takeda Pharmaceuticals

Bertrand is the Former Head of Global Pricing at Takeda. He joined Takeda when the company started its transformation to a specialty care Pharma company 4 years ago. Bertrand has developed his expertise in a variety of new therapies in Onco-Hemato and GI spanning from chemicals to biologics and, more recently, new therapies based on stem cells.

Bertrand has a broad understanding of the Pharma industry, gained in the various roles he has held in Life Sciences, prior to joining Takeda.  He has extensive experience in Finance, Forecasting and Business Development in both pharmaceutical companies and consulting positions.
